ABOUT DESTINATIONS

Shimla is the capital of the northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh, in the Himalayan foothills. Once the summer capital of British India, it remains the terminus of the narrow-gauge Kalka-Shimla Railway, completed in 1903. It’s also known for the handicraft shops that line The Mall, a pedestrian avenue, as well as the Lakkar Bazaar, a market specializing in wooden toys and crafts. Shimla is home to a number of buildings that are styled in the Tudorbethan and neo-Gothic architectures dating from the colonial era, as well as multiple temples and churches. The colonial architecture and churches, the temples and the natural beauty of the city attract a large number of tourists. Shimla is situated at a height of 2200 Meters from the see level.

Manali is a Valley nestled in the mountains of the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh near the northern end of the Kullu Valley at an altitude of 2,050 Meters (6,726 ft) in the Beas River Valley. It is located in the Kullu district, about 270 KM north of the state capital, Shimla. Manali It is a popular tourist destination and serves as the gateway to Lahaul & Spiti district as well as Leh. Manali is a high-altitude Himalayan resort town in India’s. It has a reputation as a backpacking center and honeymoon destination. Set on the Beas River, it’s a gateway for skiing in the Solang Valley and trekking in Parvati Valley. It's also a jumping-off point for paragliding, rafting and mountaineering in the Pir Panjal mountains, home to 4,000m-high Rohtang Pass.

Chandigarh, the capital of the northern Indian states of Punjab and Haryana, was designed by modernist architect Le Corbusier. His modernist buildings include the Capitol Complex with its High Court, Secretariat and Legislative Assembly, plus the giant Open Hand Monument. The nearby Rock Garden is a park featuring sculptures made of stones, recycled ceramics and industrial relics.

Delhi is India’s capital territory, is a massive metropolitan area in the country’s north. In Old Delhi, a neighborhood dating to the 1600s stands the imposing Mughal-era Red Fort, a symbol of India and the sprawling Jama Masjid mosque, whose courtyard accommodates 25,000 people. Nearby is Chandni Chowk, a vibrant bazaar filled with food carts, sweets shops and spice stalls.

Agra is a city on the banks of the river Yamuna in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh, India. It is 378 KM west of the state capital, Lucknow, 206 KM south of the national capital New Delhi and 125 KM north of Gwalior. Agra is one of the most populous cities in Uttar Pradesh. Agra is a major tourist destination because of its many splendid Mughal-era buildings, most notably the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri, all three of which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Agra is included on the Golden Triangle tourist circuit, along with Delhi and Jaipur and the Uttar Pradesh Heritage Arc, tourist circuit of UP state, along Lucknow the capital of the state and Varanasi. Agra falls within the Braj cultural region. The Taj Mahal is one of the most famous buildings in the world, the mausoleum of Shah Jahan's favourite wife, Mumtaz Mahal. It is one of the New Seven Wonders of the world, and one of the three World Heritage Sites in Agra. Agra is commonly identified as the "City of Taj. Completed in 1653, the Taj Mahal was built by the Mughal king Shah Jahan as the final resting place for his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal. Finished in marble, it is most beautiful monument of India. This perfectly symmetrical monument took 22 years (1630–1652) of labour and 20,000 workers, masons and jewellers to build and is set amidst landscaped gardens.

HIMACHAL WITH CHANDIGARH DELHI & AGRA

Day 01: Delhi – Shimla (365 Km) Travel duration 8/9 hours (Approx)

Morning arrive at Delhi, pick up from Delhi Airport/Railway station and straight drive to Shimla. Evening arrival at Shimla, check in to hotel. Shimla is the capital city of the northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh, in the Himalayan foothills. Shimla was the summer capital of British India. Considered to be the Queen of the hills and it is famous and popular hill tourist destination of India for the memorable holidays. It is also known as “Dev Bhoomi” (The land of god). Later free for independent activities and overnight stay at Shimla hotel.  

Day 02: Shimla – Kufri – Fagu – Naldehra – Shimla (25 Km)

After breakfast proceed for full day sightseeing tour of Shimla and visit several prominent attractions like Sankat Mochan Temple, Kali Bari Temple and Jakhu Hills/Temple, also visit Indra Gandhi Tourist Bungalow, enjoy horse ride at Kufri forest area at Kufri, Fagu and Naldehra. Evening return back to Shimla and visit to Scandal Point, Vice Regal Lodge, Christ Church. Later free to stroll in the famous shopping place of Shimla city at The Mall & The Ridge and overnight stay at Shimla hotel.

Day 03: Shimla – Kullu – Manali (265 Km) Travel time 8/9 hours (Approx)

After breakfast check out from Shimla hotel and drive to Manali en route visiting Sunder Nagar Dam, Pandoh Dam (A beautiful spot for the capture of memorable photo shot), Hanogi Mata Temple, Mata Vaishno Devi Temple (Small Temple at Kullu), Kullu Handicraft Industry. Evening arrival at Manali, check in to hotel and overnight stay at Manali hotel.

Day 04: Manali Local Sightseeing Tour 

After leisurely breakfast, proceed for local sightseeing tour of Manali and visiting Hadimba Devi Temple (Temple is dedicated to the wife of Bheem), Manu Temple – This magnificent temple is dedicated to the sage Manu, who is said to be the creator of the world. Club House – Club House is an amusement zone and it has indoor game facilities. Vashisht Temple & Sulpher hot spring) – This temple is dedicated to the great sage Vashisht in the village of Vashisht located 3 Km away from Manali. Tibetan Monastery – Tibetan Monastery is one of the famous tourist spot in Manali and is famous for weaving colour full carpets and Van Vihar – Van Vihar is a famous picnic spot in Manali also famous for Indian movies shooting at Mall Road. Later free to stroll in the famous shopping place of Manali town at The Mall and overnight stay at Manali hotel.  

Day 05: Manali – Rohtang Pass – Manali (51 Km) 3/4 Hours journey – Up to snow point in winter

After early breakfast proceed for full day sightseeing tour and drive to Rohtang Pass – Located at a height of 3979 Meters and at a distance of 51 km from Manali. Rohtang Pass is on the highway to Keylong/Leh. In winters, the pass remains closed but is open from June to October for motor vehicles. This pass is a gateway to Lahaul Spiti, Pangi and Leh Ladakh Valley. En route visiting Nehru Kund, Kothi, Gulaba Fall, Rahalla Fall, Marhi, Rani Nalaha and Rohtang Pass (Up to snow line in case Rohtang is closed due to snow fall). Evening return back to Manali, on the way back visit to Solang ValleyFamous for winter ice sports, adventure activities/rock climbing and Rope way ride. Continue drive back to Manali. On arrival at Manali, free for independent activities or explore The Mall and overnight stay at Manali hotel.

Day 06: Manali – Chandigarh (323 Km) Travel time 8/9 hours (Approx)

After breakfast check out from Manali hotel and drive to Chandigarh, evening arrive at Chandigarh, check in hotel. After refresh visit to famous shopping place of Chandigarh city at sector 17 and overnight stay at Chandigarh hotel.

Day 07: Chandigarh Sightseeing Tour – Delhi (250 Km) Travel duration 5 hours (Approx)

After breakfasts check out from Chandigarh hotel and proceed for half day local sightseeing tour of Chandigarh city and visiting Rose Garden – Zakir Hussain Rose Garden is a botanical garden located in Chandigarh, India and spread over 30 acres of land, with 50,000 rose-bushes of 1600 different species. Rock Garden (Fantasy world of Mr. Nek Chand) – Rock Garden of Chandigarh is a sculpture garden in Chandigarh, also known as Nek Chand's Rock Garden after its founder Nek Chand, a government official who started the garden secretly in his spare time in 1957. Sukhna Lake (A life line of Chandigarh city) – Sukhna Lake in Chandigarh, India, is a reservoir at the foothills of the Himalayas, the Shivalik hills. This 3 km rain fed lake was created in 1958 by damming the Sukhna Choe, a seasonal stream coming down from the Shivalik Hills. Afternoon drive back to Delhi, evening arrive at Delhi and overnight stay Delhi hotel.

Day 08: Delhi – Agra – Delhi (210 Km) Travel duration 4 hours (Approx)

After early breakfast drive to Agra. On arrival Agra, sightseeing tour of Agra city and visiting one of the world's famous monuments as The Taj (Famous Taj Mahal). Please note Taj is closed on every Friday. So, plan accordingly to Taj visit. It is built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan as a mausoleum for his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. Agra is third largest city of the state of Uttar Pradesh is home to three UNESCO world heritage sites. Later visit to magnificent Agra Fort at the bank of River Yamuna, It is situated in the center of the Agra city. Later drive back to Delhi and overnight stay at Delhi hotel.

Day 09: Delhi Sightseeing Tour – Departure  

After breakfast check out from Delhi hotel and sightseeing tour of Delhi city – Delhi tourist attractions show a majestic fusion of Mughal and British colonial architecture and visit to Parliament House – The Sansad Bhawan (Parliament Building) is the house of the Parliament of India, located in New Delhi. President House (Rastrapati Bhawan) – Residence of Indian president. India Gate (War Memorial) – India Gate is one of the largest war memorials in India. The monument was designed by Edwin Lutyens, the chief architect of New Delhi. Jantar Mantar – The Jantar Mantar is located in the modern city of New Delhi. It consists of 13 architectural astronomy instruments. The site is one of five built by Maharaja Jai Singh II of Jaipur. Jama Masjid – Jama Masjid or Masjid-I-Jahan-Numa means a world reflecting mosque. This historical place is located in the central heart of old Delhi. Red Fort – The Red Fort was the residence of the Mughal emperor for nearly 200 years, until 1857. It is located in the centre of Delhi and houses a number of museums. Later drop off to Delhi Airport/Railway station for further journey back to home or onward destination.
