ABOUT DESTINATIONS

Mumbai – Is the eastern equivalent of New York City and Los Angeles. Mumbai is a financial and entertainment (Bollywood) capital of the country. Places of interest include Haji Ali Dargah situated about 500 yards from the shoreline in the middle of the Arabian Sea. Along with being a religious place, it is a great attraction for tourists; more than ten thousand people of all religions visit the place every day. Gateway of India, The Bandra-Worli Sea Link, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya, Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, a humongous architectural stone structure built by the British more than 200 years ago, Downtown Mumbai – reminiscent of the 19th century British architecture. Girgaon Chowpatty Beach, Madh island Beach and other Beaches towards the south of Mumbai. Elephanta Caves, carved out of a giant stone on an island are a short ferry away into the Arabian Sea. Lonavala or Lonavla is a town and a beauty full hill station in Pune district of Maharashtra. It is located at about 64 KM from the city of Pune and 96 KM from the city of Mumbai. It is known for its production of the hard candy “Chikky” and is also a major stop on the railway line connecting Mumbai and Pune. Lonavla and the adjacent Khandala are two hill stations 622 Meters (2,041 ft) above from the sea level, in the Sahyadri ranges that demarcate the Deccan Plateau and the Konkan coast. A trip to Lonavla and Khandala can be combined with sight-seeing visits of Karla, Bhaja and Bedsa caves and also the two fortresses, Lohagad and Visapur. Another place of interest is the Tungi Fort, one of the forts captured by Malik Ahmad near the village of Karjat and was known for its natural strength. 

Khandala is a hill station, near to Lonavala in the Western Ghats of Maharashtra state, located at about 3 KM from Lonavala and 7 KM from Karjat. Khandala is located at one (top) end the Bhor Ghat, a major Ghat (Valley) on the road link between the Deccan Plateau and the Konkan plain. Khandala is a common area for hiking. One destination is the nearby peak of Duke's Nose, which offers a panoramic view of Khandala and the Bhor Ghat.

Matheran – It is a smallest hill station of India, located at Karjat Tahsilin in the Raigad district of Maharashtra. It is located on the Western Ghats range at an elevation of around 800 Meters (2,625 ft) above from the sea level. It is about 100 km from Mumbai and 120 KM from Pune. Matheran's proximity to many metropolitan cities makes it a popular weekend getaway for urban residents. There are approximate 38 designated look-out "Points" (View Points) in Matheran, including the Panorama Point that provides a 360-degree view of the surrounding area and also the Neral town. From this point, the view of sunset and sunrise is dramatic. The Louisa Point offers crystal clear view of the Prabal Fort. The other points are the One Tree Hill Point, Heart Point, Monkey Point, Porcupine Point, Rambagh Point and more.

Nashik or Nasik is an ancient holy city, located in the northwest region of Maharashtra, India. The city is known for its links to the “Ramayana” epic poem. Shri Kalaram Sansthan Mandir is an ancient shrine to Rama, while Rama and Sita are said to have worshipped at Sita Gufaa caves. Nashik hosts one of the largest religious gatherings in the world known as Maha Kumbh. The Ardh (Half) Kumbh Mela (Mela mean fair) is celebrated every 6 years at Haridwar and Allahabad and the Purna (Complete) Kumbh takes place every twelve years at four places in Allahabad, Haridwar, Ujjain and Nashik. Famous Trimbakeshwar temple is located about 28 Km from Nashik city, which is one of 12 Jyotirlingas, dedicated to Lord Shiva.

Shirdi is a town in Shirdi Nagar Panchayat, located in Rahata Taluka in Ahmednagar District of Maharashtra. It is accessible via the Ahmednagar – Manmad State Highway No.10, approximately 83 KM from Ahmednagar and 15 from Kopargaon. Shirdi is famously known as the home of the late 19th century saint Sri Sai Baba. The Sri Saibaba Sansthan Trust also located in Shirdi is one of the richest temple organizations. 

Shani Shingnapur Temple – Is a village in the Indian state of Maharashtra. Situated in Nevasa Taluka in Ahmednagar district, the village is known for its popular temple of Shani, the Hindu god associated with the planet (Graha) Saturn. Shingnapur is also famous for the fact that no house in the village has doors, only door frames.

Aurangabad is a 5th largest city of Maharashtra district and city is known as “The City of Gates”. Aurangabad city is a tourism hub (Tourism Capital of Maharashtra) and also known for its famous historical monuments as Ajanta Caves and Ellora Caves, which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The city is also famous for another monument as 17th-century Bibi Ka Maqbara shrine, built like a Taj Mahal. Aurangabad city is Tourism Capital of Maharashtra.

Ellora Caves in Maharashtra, India, is one of the largest rock-cut monastery-temple cave complexes in the world, and it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, featuring Buddhist, Hindu and Jain monuments. There are over 100 caves at the site, all excavated from the basalt cliffs in the Charanandri Hills, 34 of which are open to public. All of the Ellora monuments were built during Hindu dynasties such as the Rashtrakuta dynasty, which constructed part of the Hindu & Buddhist caves, and the Yadava dynasty, which constructed a number of the Jain caves. After the sightseeing of Ellora caves visit some other historical monuments of Ellora like Daulatabad Fort and Bibi Ka Maqbara.

Ajanta Caves are about 29 rock-cut Buddhist cave monuments which are in Aurangabad district of Maharashtra state. According to UNESCO, these are masterpieces of Buddhist religious art that influenced Indian art that followed. The site is a protected monument in the care of the Archaeological Survey of India, and since 1983, the Ajanta Caves have been a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Day 01: Arrival at Mumbai

Arrive at Mumbai, our representative will pick you from Mumbai Airport/Railway station and will transfer to your pre booked hotel. After refresh, free for your own activities or in the evening you can visit famous Juhu Beach and enjoy spectacular view of sun set. You can also taste here mouth watering “Pav Bhaji” and “Bhel Poori”. Later return back to your hotel and overnight stay at Mumbai hotel.

Day 02: Mumbai Local Sightseeing Tour

After breakfast, proceed for sightseeing tour of Mumbai and explore several tourist attractions of Mumbai and visit to Shree Siddhivinayak Temple – Provides tourists with fascinating insight into Mumbai's spiritual life. Mahalakshmi Temple – Mahalaxmi Temple is one of the most famous temples of Mumbai situated on Bhulabhai Desai Road in Mahalaxmi area. It is dedicated to Mahalakshmi the central deity of Devi Mahatmyam. Haji Ali Dargah – Haji Ali Dargah is a Mosque and Dargah (Tomb), located on an islet off the coast of Worli in the southern part of Mumbai. Near the heart of the city, the Dargah is one of the most recognizable landmarks of Mumbai. Gate of India – The Gateway of India is an arch monument built during the 20th centuary in Bombay. The Gateway of India is located on the waterfront at Apollo Bunder area at the end of Chhatrapati Shivaji Marg in South Mumbai and overlooks the Arabian Sea. The monument has also been referred to as the Taj Mahal of Mumbai and is the city's top tourist attraction. Marine Drive – Marine Drive is a 3.6 Km long boulevard in South Mumbai. Marine Drive is known as the “Queen's Necklace” because, if viewed at night from an elevated point anywhere along the drive, the street lights resemble a string of pearls in a necklace. Chaupati Beach – Chaupati is one of the famous public beaches adjoining Marine Drive in the Girgaon area of Mumbai. The beach is noted for its Ganesh Visarjan celebrations when thousands of people from all over Mumbai and Pune come to immerse the idols of Lord Ganesh in the Arabian Sea. You can also visit to Prince of Wales Museum/Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya and Hanging Garden. Later return back to hotel and free for your own activities or free for shopping by your own and overnight stay at Mumbai hotel.

Day 03: Mumbai – Lonavala Sightseeing Tour (83 Km) Travel time 2/3 hours (Approx)

After leisurely breakfast check out from Mumbai hotel and drive to Lonavala. Upon arrival at Lonavala, check in to hotel. After refresh and some rest, proceed for sightseeing tour of Lonavala and visit to popular tourist attraction of Lonavala like The Karla Caves – Are a complex of ancient Buddhist Indian rock-cut caves at Karli near Lonavala. The group at Karla is one of the older and smaller of the many rock-cut Buddhist sites in Maharashtra. Also visit to Bhaja Caves – Is a group of 22 rock-cut caves dating back to the 2nd century BC located in Pune district of Maharashtra, near Lonavala. The caves are 400 feet above the village of Bhaja. The caves have a number of Stupas, one of their significant features. Later return back to hotel and overnight stay at Lonavala hotel.

Day 04: Lonavala – Khandala Sightseeing Tour – Lonavala

After breakfast, proceed for sightseeing tour of Khandala and visit to several prominent tourist attraction of Khandala like Bhushi Dam – This Dam is most famous place in the Lonavala town, which is the popular spot for picnickers, here you can watch beauty full water fall near the dam, which is also a famous tourist spot of Lonavala. Visapur Fort – Is a hill fort near Visapur village in Maharashtra. It is a part of the Lohagad – Visapur fortification. Walwan Dam – Is a gravity dam on the Indrayani River near Lonavala, Pune district. The Ryewood Park – Is located close to the Lonavala market, once was a Botanical Garden, now it is converted into a park. Marked by well maintained and landscaped lawns and gardens, it offers great view with variety of trees and colorful flowers. Later visit to The Tungarli Dam/Lake – Is an artificial reservoir, built alongside Tungarli Lake in the region of Rajmachi. Day 05: Lonavala – Matheran Sightseeing Tour (63 Km) Travel time 2 hours (Approx)

After breakfast check out from Lonavala hotel and drive towards Matheran. Upon arrival at Matheran, check in to hotel. Day 07: Nasik – Shirdi + Shree Sai Babaji Temple Darshan (83 Km) Travel time 2 hours (Approx)
