Coimbatore – Also known as Kovai, is a major city in the south Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is the administrative capital of Coimbatore district and located on the banks of the Noyyal River and surrounded by the Western Ghats. Coimbatore is the second largest city (by area and population) in the state. Coimbatore has a pleasant climate due to the presence of forests to the north and the cool winds blowing through the Palghat gap in the Western Ghats. Coimbatore city offers many interesting locations to visitors with its historic landmarks, buildings, wildlife reserves, cultural, art centers and parks.

Kodaikanal – Is a hill town, at an altitude of 2,000 Meters above from the sea level, located in the hills of Dindigul District of Tamil Nadu in South India. Kodaikanal is referred to as the "Princess of Hill stations". Kodaikanal is a popular hill tourist destination along with several scenic natural attractions which are enjoyed by its visitors and make it a popular romantic destination for newly married couples.

Ooty (The Queen of Hill Stations) – Is also known as Udhagamandalam and is a beautiful hill station situated at an altitude of 2286 Meters above from the sea level, in the south India state of Tamil Nadu. The town is surrounded by trees, central Ooty Lake is a huge artificial expanse of water with pleasure boats. On the slopes of nearby Elk Hill, the Rose Garden is home to over 2,000 varieties of roses. The climate in Ooty is mostly pleasant and thus one can plan a visit at any time of the year except monsoon. Ooty is located 86 Km from north of Coimbatore and 158 Km south of Mysore and is the capital of the Nilgiris district. It is a popular hill station located in the Nilgiri Hills. The town is connected by the Nilgiri Ghat Roads and Nilgiri Mountain Railway. Its natural environment attracts tourists and it is a popular summer hill tourist destination of Tamil Nadu. Ooty is well connected to the road network. It is 306 km from Bengaluru (Via Mysore and Bandipur) 558 Km from Chennai (via Salem, Erode, and Coimbatore), 246 Km from Kannur, 180 Km from Calicut and nearly 100 Km from Wayanad. The Nilgiri Mountain Railway (NMR) is one of the oldest mountain railways in Ooty, India and was declared by the UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in July 2005. It is the only Rack Railway in India and uses the Abt system. Mettupalayam which is 47 Km away from Ooty is the nearest major railway station. There are regular train services from Mettupalayam to Coimbatore and Chennai. Toy Train from Mettupalayam to Ooty covers a distance of 46 Km. The train offers to travellers with long stretches of rice fields, lofty hills, 13 tunnels and 26 viaducts. It also offers nice photographic opportunities as well. The nearest Airport is Coimbatore around 96 Km away and Major International Airport is Bengaluru (Kempegowda International Airport 273 Km away).

Day 01: Arrive at Coimbatore + Coimbatore Sightseeing Tour

Morning arrive at Coimbatore, meet to our representative, who will assist you to transfer your hotel. Pick up from Coimbatore Airport/Railway station and transfer to hotel, check in to hotel. After refresh, proceed for city tour of Coimbatore and explore popular tourist attraction of Coimbatore city like Kovai Kutralam Falls – This waterfall is an exhilarating water fall, situated in the scenic region of Siruvani, about 37 Km away from Coimbatore city. it is a good place to watch birds and wildlife within the area. Vaideki/Vaidehi Falls – It is a waterfall situated at about 35 Km from the Coimbatore city in the outskirts of Coimbatore city. Siruvani Waterfalls & Dam – Located 50 Km from Coimbatore city. The dam was built in 1927. The reservoir at Siruvani was built for Tamil Nadu by the Kerala Government. Anubhavi Subramaniar Temple – It is one of the famous temples in Coimbatore city, located roughly few kilometers away from the Coimbatore city. Shree Ayyappan Temple – The temple of Lord Sri Ayyappa Swami is situated in the central part of the Coimbatore city. The Siddhapudur Ayyappa Swami Temple is a well known and a famous temple of the city. Perur Pateeswarar Temple – It is a Hindu temple, located 7 Km west of the Noyyal River at Perur, in western part of Coimbatore in the south Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple is believed to be one of the places where Shiva is believed to have performed Ananda Thandavam. Also visit to Marudamalai Murugan Temple – Also known as Marudamalai hills temple, a 12th century temple for Murugan or Subramanya, situated in the Marudamalai Hills about 15 Km from Coimbatore city. In the evening return back to hotel and overnight stay at Coimbatore hotel.

Day 02: Coimbatore – Kodaikanal Sightseeing Tour (170 Km) Travel time 5 Hour (Approx)

After breakfast check out from Coimbatore hotel and proceed to visit Coimbatore Golf Club – This is an 18-hole golf course located in Chettipalayam in Coimbatore. It is a popular venue for major golf tournaments. Later drive to Kodaikanal, upon arrival at Kodaikanal, check in to your pre booked hotel in Kodaikanal. After refresh and some rest proceed for sightseeing tour of Kodaikanal and explore popular tourist places of Kodaikanal and visit to Green Valley View – Formerly called Suicide Point, located at 5.5 Km from the Kodaikanal bus stand and near the golf course. It has an excellent panoramic view of the plains and a sheer drop of 1,500 Meters (4,900 ft) overlooking the Vaigai Dam to the south. Pillar Rocks – It is 8 Km away from the Kodaikanal bus stand, Pillar Rock is a set of three giant rock pillars which stand at a height of 122 Meters. There is an excellent public garden adjacent to the viewpoint. This spot offers captivating view of lush green surroundings, it also offers magnificent view of the Vaigai Dam. Guna Caves / Devil’s Kitchen – It is located at a distance of 8.5 Km from Kodaikanal Bus Stand and 1.5 km from Pillar Rocks, Guna Cave is wonderful tourist spot in Kodaikanal. The Devil's Kitchen is a group of caverns located between the three gigantic boulders called as the Pillar Rocks. In 1992 the Tamil movie named 'Guna' starring the popular actor Kamal Haasan was shot inside the Devil's Kitchen caves. Bear Shola Falls – Located 3 Km from the Kodaikanal bus stand and 2 Km from Kodaikanal Lake is a tall waterfall in a Reserve forest. It is believed that bears come here to drink water which led to this name of the waterfalls as Bear Shola Falls. The final approach to this quiet area is a gently climbing foot-path. Also visit to famous Kodaikanal Lake – It is an artificial lake, built in 1863. It is recognized as Kodaikanal's most popular geographic landmark and tourist attraction. The 5 Km path that skirts the periphery of this lovely lake is a favorite walk for the locals and tourists alike. Boating, horse riding, bicycling are a few of the popular activities around the lake. In the evening Shopping – You are free for shopping in Kodaikanal and explore Kashmir Handicrafts Centre, Khadi Emporium, Government Sales Emporium and Handloom Co-Operative Stores. You can also buy homemade chocolates, cheese and marshmallows. Aromatherapy products and herbs are also bought by almost every tourist. Later return back to your hotel and overnight stay at Kodaikanal hotel.

Day 03: Kodaikanal – Ooty Sightseeing Tour (255 Km) Travel time 6/7 Hour (Approx)

In the morning proceed to enjoy golf game at Kodaikanal Golf Club – It is a private membership club with an 18 holes, par 71 Golf courses. It is located about 6 Km southwest from the center of Kodaikanal at an elevation of 2,220 Meters (7,280 ft). Later come back to hotel, after breakfast check out from Kodaikanal hotel and drive to Ooty, upon arrival at Ooty, check in to your pre booked hotel in Ooty. After refresh and some rest proceed for sightseeing tour of Ooty and explore popular tourist places of Ooty and visit to Botanical Garden – This botanical garden located in Ooty, Tamil Nadu. The Gardens, divided into several sections, cover an area of around 55 hectares and lie on the lower slopes of Doddabetta peak. The garden has a terraced layout. It is maintained by the Tamil Nadu Horticulture Department. Ooty Rose Garden – Formerly Centenary Rose Park, is the largest rose garden in India. It is situated on the slopes of the Elk Hill in Vijayanagaram of Ooty town at an altitude of 2200 Meters. This garden has one of the largest collections of roses in the country with more than 20,000 varieties of roses and won the Garden of Excellence Award for South Asia. Doddabetta Peak – It is the highest peak of the Nilgiris Hills at an altitude of 2,683 Meters above from the sea level, situated at about 10 Km from the Ooty, it is also the second highest peak of South India. It lies at the junction of the Western and Eastern Ghats surrounded by dense Sholas. Tea Factory & The Tea Museum – It is a home to some of the largest tea growing belts in India. In the evening return back to hotel and overnight stay at Ooty hotel.

Day 04: Ooty Sightseeing Tour

After breakfast proceed for sightseeing tour of Ooty and explore popular tourist attractions of Ooty and visit to Kalhatti Water Falls – Is a tourist spot near Ooty, these falls are about 15 Km from Ooty, on the Ooty to Mysore Road or Sigur Ghat Road. Ketti valley – Is sometimes referred to as the Switzerland of Southern India. The valley extends from the Mysore plateau to the Coimbatore plains and is one of the largest valleys in the world. Also visit to Kamraj Sagar Dam – It is located at a distance of 10 Km from the Ooty. The Kamaraj Sagar Dam is in the Nilgiris district of Tamil Nadu state in India. It is a picnic spot and a film shooting spot on the slopes of the Wenlock Downs. This place is attracts to the tourists for its beauty of dam, fishing, studying nature and environment. Later, return back to your hotel and free for your own activities and overnight stay at Ooty hotel. Day 05: Leisure or Ooty Sightseeing Tour

After breakfast full day relax/own activities or proceed for sightseeing tour of Ooty and explore famous tourist attractions of Ooty and visit to Pykara Lake & Fall – Is the name of a village and river 19 Km from Ooty in the Indian State of Tamil Nadu. Pykara Lake is the largest river in Ooty and also one of the popular picnic spot. Also visit to famous Ooty Lake – This Lake is an artificial lake, covers an area of 65 acres. The boat house established alongside the lake, which offers boating facilities to tourists and one of the most popular tourist attractions in Ooty. Wax World Ooty – Located at 2 Km away from the main city. Wax World Museum & Art Gallery is a collection of Life-size look-alike wax statues that display Indian personalities, history, heritage and culture. Deer Park – Park is located at about 1 Km away from The Ooty Lake. The park is known to be one of the high altitude animal parks in India. The park is very good-looking and provides to tourists a chance to observe wildlife at its natural habitat. Park is home to deer along with Sambhar and Chithal. The park is also host a variety of flora and fauna, especially avian fauna. Later return back to hotel and overnight stay at Ooty hotel.

Day 06: Ooty – Coimbatore (87 Km) Travel time 3 Hours (Approx)

After breakfast check out from Ooty hotel and drive back to Coimbatore. On arrival at Coimbatore, transfer to Airport/Railway station to board the flight/train for further journey back to home or onward destination.
