Ooty (The Queen of Hill Stations) – Is also known as Udhagamandalam and is a beautiful hill station situated at an altitude of 2286 Meters above from the sea level, in the south India state of Tamil Nadu. The town is surrounded by trees, central Ooty Lake is a huge artificial expanse of water with pleasure boats. On the slopes of nearby Elk Hill, the Rose Garden is home to over 2,000 varieties of roses. The climate in Ooty is mostly pleasant and thus one can plan a visit at any time of the year except monsoon. Ooty is located 86 Km from north of Coimbatore and 158 Km south of Mysore and is the capital of the Nilgiris district. It is a popular hill station located in the Nilgiri Hills. The town is connected by the Nilgiri Ghat Roads and Nilgiri Mountain Railway. Its natural environment attracts tourists and it is a popular summer hill tourist destination of Tamil Nadu. Ooty is well connected to the road network. It is 306 km from Bengaluru (Via Mysore and Bandipur) 558 Km from Chennai (via Salem, Erode, and Coimbatore), 246 Km from Kannur, 180 Km from Calicut and nearly 100 Km from Wayanad. The Nilgiri Mountain Railway (NMR) is one of the oldest mountain railways in Ooty, India and was declared by the UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in July 2005. It is the only Rack Railway in India and uses the Abt system. Mettupalayam which is 47 Km away from Ooty is the nearest major railway station. There are regular train services from Mettupalayam to Coimbatore and Chennai. Toy Train from Mettupalayam to Ooty covers a distance of 46 Km. The train offers to travellers with long stretches of rice fields, lofty hills, 13 tunnels and 26 viaducts. It also offers nice photographic opportunities as well. Coonoor – It is located about 20 Km from Ooty, at an altitude of 1,850 Meters above from the sea level and it is the second largest hill station in the Nilgiri hills after Ooty. It is an ideal point for a number of trekking expeditions leading into the Nilgiris. Coonoor is a popular tourist destination with its lush green tea gardens and scenic view points. The popular tourist places in Coonoor are Sim's Park, Lam's Rock and Dolphin's Nose View Point.  

Coorg – (Also known as Kodagu) is a rural district in the southwest Indian state of Karnataka. Madikeri (Also known as Mercara) is a district headquarters of Coorg (Kodagu) and it as a beautiful hill station town in Madikeri Taluk in Karnataka state. It is 120 Km from Mysuru, 136 Km from Mangaluru (Mangalore) and 252 Km from Bengaluru, the state capital of Karnataka. It is a popular hill tourist destination in Karnataka and famous for its Madikeri Fort has 2 life-size elephant statues built at its entrance, and a Gothic-style Church with a museum on its grounds. 19th centuries Hindu Omkareshwara Temple is nearby. Raja’s Tomb (Raja Seat), a burial place of Kodava kings, it is built on a high level ground with a commanding view of the cliffs and valleys to the west and cascading Abby Falls 6 Km away from the Madikeri.

Day 01: Arrive at Coimbatore – Ooty (87 Km) Travel time 3 hours (Approx)

Arrive at Coimbatore, meet to our representative, who will assist you to transfer to Ooty, pick up from Coimbatore Airport and drive to Ooty. Ooty is a one of the most beautiful hill station and a major tourist destination in Tamil Nadu. Upon arrival at Ooty, check to your pre booked hotel. After refresh free for your own activities or go out for nature walk around the Ooty Lake, later return back to hotel and overnight stay at Ooty hotel.

Day 02: Ooty Sightseeing Tour

After breakfast proceed for sightseeing tour of Ooty and explore most scenic and popular tourist places of Ooty and visit to Doddabetta Peak – It is the highest peak of the Nilgiris Hills at an altitude of 2,683 Meters above from the sea level, situated at about 10 Km from the Ooty, it is also the second highest peak of South India. It lies at the junction of the Western and Eastern Ghats surrounded by dense Sholas. Botanical Garden – This botanical garden located in Ooty, Tamil Nadu. The Gardens, divided into several sections, cover an area of around 55 hectares and lie on the lower slopes of Doddabetta peak. The garden has a terraced layout. It is maintained by the Tamil Nadu Horticulture Department. Ooty Rose Garden – Formerly Centenary Rose Park, is the largest rose garden in India. It is situated on the slopes of the Elk Hill in Vijayanagaram of Ooty town at an altitude of 2200 Meters. This garden has one of the largest collections of roses in the country with more than 20,000 varieties of roses and won the Garden of Excellence Award for South Asia. Wax World Ooty – Located at 2 Km away from the main city. Wax World Museum & Art Gallery is a collection of Life-size look-alike wax statues that display Indian personalities, history, heritage and culture. Ooty Deer Park – Park is located at about 1 Km away from The Ooty Lake. The park is known to be one of the high altitude animal parks in India. The park is very good-looking and provides to tourists a chance to observe wildlife at its natural habitat. Park is home to deer along with Sambhar and Chithal. The park is also host a variety of flora and fauna, especially avian fauna. Tea Factory & The Tea Museum – It is a home to some of the largest tea growing belts in India. Lastly visit to famous Ooty Lake – This Lake is an artificial lake, covers an area of 65 acres. Day 03: Ooty – Coonoor Sightseeing Tour – Ooty (20 Km)

After breakfast, proceed for Coonoor sightseeing tour drive to Coonoor, upon arrival visit to famous scenic spots of Coonoor like Sim's Park – This botanical park is in Coonoor and located at a height of 1,780 Meters above from the sea level, it is an important tourist place to visit in Coonoor. The garden is visited by thousands of tourists throughout the year and even in winter. Lamb's Rock – Is a tourist spot in Coonoor, Tamil Nadu, on the slopes of the Nilgiri Hills. It is located at a distance of 8 Km from Coonoor. This place offers panoramic views of Coimbatore plains, tea estates and coffee estates. Route to this place also offers trekking opportunities. Dolphin's Nose View Point – View point is a tourist spot, located at 10 Km from Coonoor in the Nilgiris District of Tamil Nadu. Dolphin's Nose is well over 1,000 ft. above from the sea level and is a spectacular spot to visit. The tip of the peak resembles a Dolphin's nose, hence the name Dolphin's Nose. Day 04: Sightseeing Tour around Ooty

After breakfast proceed for sightseeing tour of Ooty and explore popular tourist attractions of Ooty and visit to Kalhatti Water Falls – Is a tourist spot near Ooty, these falls are about 15 Km from Ooty, on the Ooty to Mysore Road or Sigur Ghat Road. Ketti Valley – Is sometimes referred to as the Switzerland of Southern India. The valley extends from the Mysore plateau to the Coimbatore plains and is one of the largest valleys in the world. Also visit to Kamraj Sagar Dam – It is located at a distance of 10 Km from the Ooty. The Kamaraj Sagar Dam is in the Nilgiris district of Tamil Nadu state of south India. It is a picnic spot and a film shooting spot on the slopes of the Wenlock Downs. This place is attracts to the tourists for its beauty of dam, fishing, studying nature and environment. Later, return back to your hotel and free for your own activities and overnight stay at Ooty hotel. Day 05: Ooty – Madikeri in Coorg (236 Km) Travel time 6 hours (Approx)

After breakfast check out from Ooty hotel and drive to Coorg (Madikeri) en route visiting Pykara Waterfall/Lake, upon arrival at Coorg (Also known as Kodagu), check in to your pre booked hotel in Madikeri. After refresh free for your own activities or explore local market of Madikeri town and overnight stay at Madikeri hotel in Coorg.

Day 06: Coorg (Madikeri) Local Sightseeing Tour

After breakfast proceed for local sightseeing tour of Madikeri town, district of Coorg (Kodagu). Madikeri is a small hill station in Coorg district (Also known as Kodagu) and explore tourist attractions of Madikeri such as Madikeri Fort – The fort was first founded by Mudduraja in the mid half of the 17th century. It is located in the heart of the city and some of the old buildings are now used as district offices. There are some statues and other tourist attractions inside the Madikeri fort. There is a famous Lord Ganesha temple known as "Kote Ganapathi" just at the main entrance of the fort. St. Mark's Church – It is located inside the Madikeri Fort, this building now houses the Madikeri Fort Museum. Abbi Falls – It is a waterfall located at 6 km away from the Madikeri town. Water from Kootu Poley Dam near the town flows into the falls. Raja’s Seat – This is a small square viewing point of four pillars bridged, enhanced by beautiful surroundings. This place was a favourite place of recreation for the Rajas and hence was permanently associated with them. It is built on a high level ground with a beautiful view of the cliffs and valleys to the west. Also visit to Omkareshwara Temple – The temple was built by king Linga Rajendra II in 1820, it is located at the heart of the town. The temple has both Islamic and Gothic styles of architecture. In the evening return back to your hotel and overnight stay at Madikeri hotel.

Day 07: Coorg (Madikeri) – Departure Mangalore 140 Km – 4 Hours/ Mysore 120 Km – 3 Hours journey

After breakfast check out from Madikeri hotel and drive to Mangalore or Mysore en route visiting Tibetan Monastery (Namdroling Nyingmapa Monastery) – Is the largest teaching center of the Nyingma lineage of Tibetan Buddhism in the world. The monastery is home to a Sangha community of over five thousand Lamas (Both Monks and Nuns). Also visit to Nisargadhama (Waterfall) – Is an island formed by river Kaveri near Kushalnagar in the district of Coorg (Kodagu) in Karnataka. Elephant rides and boating are some of the other attractions here. Later continue drive toward Mangalore or Mysore Airport to board the flight for your further journey back to home or onward destination.
