ABOUT DESTINATIONS
Chennai – On the Bay of Bengal in eastern India, and it is the capital city of Tamil Nadu state. This city is home to Fort St. George, which was built in 1644 and now a museum. Its old name was Madras. The city is famous for its beaches and religious sites include Kapaleeshwarar Temple, adorned with carved and painted gods and St. Mary’s, a 17th-century Anglican Church. A notable tourist attraction in Chennai is actually in the neighbouring town of Mahabalipuram, with its ancient temples and rock carvings of the 7th century Pallava kingdom is an UNESCO World Heritage site. Chennai is the sixth most populous city of India and it is most visited city in India by foreign tourists.
Mahabalipuram or Mamallapuram – Is one of the oldest cities in India, located at the Bay of Bengal and the Great Salt Lake, in the Kanchipuram district of South Indian State of Tamil Nadu. It is on the coastline 58 KM south of the city of Chennai. City is known for its ancient temples and monuments, built by the Pallava dynasty in the 7th and 8th centuries, with a group of Hindu monuments declared as UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is one of the most visited towns in South India. The seafront Shore Temple comprises 3 ornate granite shrines. Krishna’s Butter Ball is a massive boulder balanced on a small hill near the Ganesha Ratha stone temple.
Tanjore or Thanjavur – Tanjore is a city (Also referred as Thanjavur), located in the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The most visited monument in Thanjavur is 11th-century’s Brihadeeswara Temple is located in the heart of the city, dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva. Most of the Great Living Chola Temples are located in and around Thanjavur which are UNESCO World Heritage Monuments. Thanjavur is also important center of South Indian religion for an Art and Architecture. It is home to Tanjore painting, a painting style unique to the region. The city is also known for its Thanjavur Maratha Palace, Saraswathi Mahal Library, Thanjavur Art Gallery and Tamil University Museum. Thanjavur is an important pilgrim centre and a major tourist destination of Tamil Nadu.
Trichy/Tiruchirappalli – (Also known as Tiruchirappalli) is an ancient city, located in the south Indian state of Tamil Nadu, on the banks of Kaveri River. City is famous for its temples and Fort such as Ranganathaswamy Temple, with intricately carved gopurams (Towering gateways) and Jambukeswarar-Akilandeswari Temple, dedicated to the Lord Shiva. The Rock Fort Temple complex towers over the city center. The most famous land mark of this bustling town is the Rock Fort Temple. Trichy city is a thriving commercial centre in Tamil Nadu and is famous for artificial diamonds, cigars, handloom cloth, glass and wooden bangles and clay toys.
Madurai – Is an ancient city, located on the Vaigai River in the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Madurai is one of the oldest cities of India and was ruled by Pandya kings over most of its history. The city is famous for its rich heritage and promoting Tamil language through "Sangams". Its skyline is dominated by the 14 colorful gopurams (Gateway Towers) of Meenakshi Amman Temple. Covered in bright carvings of Hindu gods, the Dravidian-style temple is a major pilgrimage site. Madurai is famous for the Chithirai Festival which takes place during mid April-May, during the Hindu month of Chithirai. Madurai is also famous for its yearly bull run "Jallikattu" which coincides with Pongal festival in the month of January.
Thiruvananthapuram formerly known as Trivandrum is the capital and the largest city of the Indian state of Kerala. It is located on the west coast of India near the extreme south of the mainland. Referred to by Mahatma Gandhi as the "Evergreen city of India". Thiruvananthapuram is a major tourist hub in South India. Kovalam and Varkala are popular beach towns located near the city. The Padmanabhaswamy Temple circled by the East Fort is believed to be among the richest and grandest temples in the world. Other places of interest include Shanghumukham, Azhimala Beach, Agasthyamala rain forests, Neyyar Wildlife Sanctuary, Kallar, Braemore, Ponmudi Hills, Poovar and Anchuthengu backwaters, Varkala Cliffs and Kappil, Edava Lakes. The city is also known for its unique style of architecture involving Kerala Architecture with British and Dravidian influences in Napier museum, Zoo which is one of the oldest in Asia, Kuthiramalika and Kilimanoor Palaces. Although there are a number of museums, Kerala Science and Technology Museum includes the Priyadarsini Planetarium with the biggest projection screen in south India.
Kovalam is a small coastal town in the southern Indian state of Kerala, south of Thiruvananthapuram. At the southern end of Lighthouse Beach is a striped lighthouse with a viewing platform. Palm-backed beaches also include Hawa Beach and Samudra Beach. Heading south, Vizhinjam Juma Masjid mosque overlooks the busy fishing harbor. Inland, Sagarika Marine Research Aquarium displays technology used in pearl production.
Kanyakumari also known as Kanniyakumari, formerly known as Cape Comorin, is a town in Kanyakumari District in the state of Tamil Nadu in India. The name comes from the Devi Kanya Kumari Temple in the region. It is the southernmost tip of peninsular India. Kanyakumari town is the southern tip of the Cardamom Hills, an extension of the Western Ghats range. The nearest town is Nagercoil, the administrative headquarters of Kanyakumari District, 22 Km away. Kanyakumari has been a town since Sangam period and is a popular tourist destination. Though there are several places of tourist interest in the town and district, Kanyakumari is especially popular in India for its spectacular and unique sunrise and sunset, thanks to its being nearly surrounded by waters. On balmy, full-moon evenings (locally called Chitra Pournami), one can also see the moon-rise and sunset at the same time.

Day 01: Arrival at Chennai
Arrive at Chennai, our representative will pick you from Chennai Airport/Railway station and will transfer to your pre booked hotel. After refresh, get relax for whole day. In the evening go out and visit famous Marina Beach – Is a 13 km long urban beach along the Bay of Bengal that runs from Fort St. George in the north up to Foreshore Estate in the south. It is India's longest beach and one of the world's longest beaches and attracts around 50,000 visitors during the weekends. Later return back to your hotel and overnight stay at Chennai hotel.
Day 02: Chennai Sightseeing Tour – Mahabalipuram / Mamallapuram (56 Km) Travel time 2 hours (Approx)
After breakfast check out from Chennai hotel and proceed for Chennai sightseeing tour and explore several prominent tourist places of Chennai like Gandhi Memorial (Mandapam) – Is a serial of memorial structures, situated on the arterial Sardar Patel Road, in Adyar, Chennai. Gandhi Mandapam is dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi. It is built in a temple style and is the largest of the memorials in the complex. Fort St George – Is the name of the first British fortress in India, founded in 1639 at the coastal city of Chennai. The fort is a strong hold with 6 Meters high walls that with stood a number of assaults in the 18th century. It is a feasible contention to say that the city evolved around the fortress. The Fort currently houses the Tamil Nadu legislative assembly and other official buildings. The Fort Museum contains many relics of the Raj, including portraits of many of the Governors. St. Mary's Church – Located inside the Fort St George, is the oldest Anglican Church East of Suez and also the oldest British building in India. The Church is popularly known as the 'Westminster Abbey of the East'. Santhome Cathedral – Is a Roman Catholic minor basilica in Santhome. It was built in the 16th century by Portuguese explorers, over the tomb of Saint Thomas. This Church is one of the only 3 known Churches in the world built over the tomb of an Apostle of Jesus, the other 2 are located in Vatican City and Spain. Kapaleeshwarar Temple – Located in Mylapore, one of the most visited worship places by tourists visiting the city. Kalakshetra (Art Gallery) – It is an arts and cultural academy dedicated to the preservation of traditional values in Indian art and crafts, especially in the field of Bharatanatyam dance and Gandharvaveda music. Later drive to Mahabalipuram, on arrival check in to hotel and overnight stay at Mahabalipuram hotel.
Day 03: Mahabalipuram – Kanchipuram – Mahabalipuram Sightseeing Trip
After breakfast, proceed for sightseeing tour of Mahabalipuram (Also referred as Mamallapuram) and explore popular tourist places of Mahabalipuram and visit to Arjuna’s Penance or Descent of the Ganges – The Arjuna relief is in the centre of Mahabalipuram, facing the sea at a short distance from the shores of the Coramandel Coast of the Bay of Bengal where the Shore Temple is situated. The Arjuna's penance is one of the most famous stone carvings at Mahabalipuram (Mamallapuram). It is one of the Group of Monuments at Mahabalipuram that were designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Pancha Rathas (Five Rathas) – Is a monument complex at Mahabalipuram, located at the Coromandel Coast of the Bay of Bengal in the Kancheepuram district of South Indian State of Tamil Nadu. Pancha Rathas is an example of monolithic Indian rock-cut architecture. This complex is a part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Shore Temple – Is so named because it overlooks the shore of the Bay of Bengal. It is a structural temple, built with granite blocks. It is one of the oldest structural (versus rock-cut) stone temples of South India. It is also one of the Group of Monuments at Mahabalipuram and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Later return back to hotel and overnight stay at Mahabalipuram hotel.
Day 04: Mahabalipuram – Tanjore (Thanjavur) Sightseeing Tour (313 Km) Travel time 6 hour (Approx)
After breakfast check out Mahabalipuram hotel and drive to Tanjore (Also referred as Thanjavur). Upon arrival, check in to hotel, after refresh proceed for sightseeing tour of Tanjore and explore popular tourist places of Tanjore and visit to famous Brihadishvara Temple – Also known as Rajesvara Peruvudaiyar or Brihadeeswarar Temple, it is a Hindu temple and dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple is located in the Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu. It is one of the largest temple of South India and an exemplary example of a fully realized Tamil architecture. This temple is a part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site and most visited place of Tanjore city. Shiva Ganga Garden – Is a recreational park, located in the Thanjavur city in the South Indian State of Tamil Nadu. It just close to Brihadishvara Temple and a popular tourist sport in the city along with a toy train, motor boating facilities and a miniature zoological garden. Also visit to Vijayanagar Fort – Is one of the most popular historical monuments in India. Day 05: Tanjore (Thanjavur) – Trichy (Tiruchirappalli) Sightseeing Tour (58 Km) Travel time 1.30 hour (Approx)
After breakfast check out from Tanjore/Thanjavur hotel and drive to Trichy (Also known as Tiruchirappalli). Upon arrival at Trichy proceed for sightseeing tour of Trichy and explore popular tourist places of Trichy and visit to Jambukeswarar Temple or Thiruvanaikal or Jambukeswaram – It is a famous Shiva temple in Tiruchirapalli (Also known as Trichy) in the south India state of Tamil Nadu. The temple was built by Kocengannan. It is located in the Srirangam Island, which has the famous Ranganathaswamy temple. Jambukeshwarar temple is one of the five major Shiva Temples of Tamil Nadu. Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple or Srirangam Temple – It is a Hindu temple (Also known as Thiruvaranga Tirupati), dedicated to Ranganatha (Lord Vishnu). Day 06: Trichy – Madurai Temple Tour (141 Km) Travel time 3 hours (Approx)
After leisurely breakfast check out from Trichy hotel and drive to Madurai. Upon arrival at Madurai, check in to hotel, after refresh and some rest proceed for temple tour of Madurai and visit to famous Meenakshi Temple – Is a historic Hindu temple located on the southern bank of the Vaigai River in the temple city of Madurai, Tamil Nadu. It is about 460 Km southwest from Chennai city, the state capital of Tamil Nadu. The temple is a major pilgrimage destination, dedicated to Meenakshi Devi and Shiva. Day 07: Madurai Sightseeing Tour
After breakfast proceed for sightseeing tour of Madurai and explore famous tourist places of Madurai and visit to King Thirumala’s Palace – The palace is a 17th-century palace, situated is 2 Km south east of the Meenakshi Amman Temple in the city of Madurai. This Palace is a classic fusion of Dravidian and Rajput styles. Gandhi Memorial Museum – Established in 1959, is a memorial museum for Gandhi, located in the Madurai city of Tamil Nadu. It is known as Gandhi Museum, now one of the five Gandhi Sanghralayas (Gandhi Museums) in the country. Day 08: Madurai – Trivandrum/Kovalam Sightseeing Tour (316Km) Travel time 7 hours (Approx)
After early breakfast check out from Madurai hotel and drive to Trivandrum (Also referred as Thiruvananthapuram). On arrival at Trivandrum, check in to your pre booked hotel. Gandhi Memorial Mandapam – This Memorial has been built on the spot where the urn containing the Mahatma's ashes was kept for public viewing before immersion. Thiruvalluvar Statue or Valluvar Statue – Is a 133-feet tall stone sculpture, located atop a small island near the town of Kanyakumari on the southernmost point of the Indian peninsula on the Coromandel Coast, where two seas (The Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea) and an ocean (The Indian Ocean) meet. You can also boat ride here. Also visit to Vattakottai Fort – It is a sea side fort near Kanyakumari in the south India state of Tamil Nadu, India. Vattakottai Fort commands a picturesque view of both the sea on the one side, and the hills (Western Ghats) on the other. Evening you will get to see the Sunset at the confluence of 3 Oceans, Arabian Sea, Pacific Ocean & Indian Ocean. Later drive back to Trivandrum hotel and overnight stay at Trivandrum hotel.
Day 10: Trivandrum – Departure Airport/Railway Station
