Katra or Katra Vaishno Devi, as it is popularly known, is a small town in Reasi district of the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir situated in the foothills of the Trikuta Mountains, where the holy shrine of Vaishno Devi is located. It is located around 50 km from the city of Jammu. Katra serves as the base camp for pilgrims who visit Mata Vaishno Devi. To reach Vaishno Devi Mandir (Temple) the pilgrims have to register at the Katra before starting the trek. By registering, the pilgrims get accident insurance while on the trek for 1 Lakh INR. It is a trek of 14 KM. There is another trek (1.5 km) from Vaishno Devi temple for Baba Bhaironnath. It is said that the pilgrimage is not complete until you visit this temple at last. The scenery throughout the trek is picturesque. Environment friendly auto rickshaws and helicopter services are available, to make the journey a pleasant one.

Patnitop is a hilltop tourist location in Udhampur district in Jammu & Kashmir state of India. Situated on a plateau in the Shiwalik belt of the Himalayas, Patnitop sits at an altitude of 2,024 Meters (6,640 ft) above from the see level. The river Chenab flows in close proximity to this location.

Jammu is the largest city in the Jammu Division and the winter capital of state of Jammu and Kashmir in India. It is situated on the banks of the Tawi River.

Amritsar is a city in the Indian state of Punjab. At the center of its walled old town, the gilded Golden Temple (Harmandir Sahib) is the holiest Gurdwara (religious complex) of the Sikh religion. It’s at the end of a causeway, surrounded by the sacred Amrit Sarovar tank (lake), where pilgrims bathe. Wagah Border is the only road boarder crossing between Pakistan and India between Amritsar and Lahore cities. The international border between India and Pakistan is located at a distance of 34 km from Amritsar city.

Day 01: Arrival at Jammu – Katra (50 Km) 1/2 Hour drive

Arrive at Jammu, pick up from Jammu Airport/Railway station and drive to Katra. On arrival at Katra, check in to hotel. After refresh free for independent activities or explore local market of Katra and overnight stay at Katra hotel.

Day 02: Katra – Trek to Mata Vaishno Devi Bhawan (12 Km)

After early breakfast, trek to Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine, the holy temple which is dedicated to Shakti. You may also hire the Ponies by your own for arranged trek to Mata Vaishno Devi Temple which is second largest visited temple by the devotees of India after the Tirupati Balaji Temple. During the Mata Vaishno Devi trekking stop at Ardhkuwari Temple. After the  Mata Vaishno Devi Temple darshan en route visit to Baba Bhaironath Temple (Compulsory visit). Later return back to Katra and overnight stay at Katra hotel. 

Day 03: Katra – Patnitop Sightseeing Tour (80 Km) Travel time 3 hours
After breakfast check out from Katra hotel and drive to Patnitop. On arrival at Patnitop, check in to hotel. Patnitop – Is a hilltop tourist location in Udhampur district in Jammu & Kashmir state of India. Situated on a plateau in the Shiwalik belt of the Himalayas, Patnitop sits at an altitude of 2,024 Meters (6,640 ft) above from the see level. The river Chenab flows in close proximity to this location. After refresh, visit to Naag Temple (Naag Mandir) – This temple is near Patnitop, standing amidst lush green surroundings, the temple is not only a significant religious point in Patnitop, but also a spot which leaves its visitors fascinated by the sceneries around. Nathatop – 14 Km away from Patnitop and a wonderful place which is thickly covered by snow during the winter months. Nathatop is an excellent place for adventure sports as ice skiing and Paragliding etc. The place has also three scenic fresh water springs in its proximity which are known for their medicinal qualities. Nathatop offers amazing views of western Himalayas. Sanasar – Is a beautiful Hill Station located at an altitude of 2,050 Meters. It is the hub for adventure sport activities in the Jammu region. The area is notable for its scenic views of mountain ranges and snow covered mountain ranges. Evening return back to hotel and free for independent activities or explore local market of Patnitop and overnight stay at Patnitop hotel.

Day 04: Patnitop – Jammu Sightseeing Tour (130 Km) 3/4 Hours drive

After breakfast check out from Patnitop hotel and drive to Jammu. On arrival at Jammu, check in to hotel. Jammu is the largest city in the Jammu Division and the winter capital of state of Jammu and Kashmir in India. It is situated on the banks of the Tawi River. After refresh visit to Bahu Fort – Which also serves as a religious temple, is situated about 5 km from Jammu city on a rock face on the left bank of the river Tawi. Raghunath Temple – Amongst the temples in Jammu, the Raghunath Temple takes pride of place being situated right in the heart of the city. This temple is situated at the city centre and was built in 1857. Bagh E Bahu – Is located on the bank of Tawi River near the famous Bahu Fort. Evening explore local market of Jammu city and overnight stay at Jammu hotel.

Day 05: Jammu – Amritsar (210 Km) Travel time 4/5 hours

After breakfast, check out from Jammu hotel and drive to Amritsar. On arrive at Amritsar, check in to hotel. Amritsar – Is a city in the Indian state of Punjab. Day 06: Amritsar Local Sightseeing – Wagah Boarder – Amritsar (34 Km) 1 Hour journey

After leisurely breakfast proceed for full day sightseeing and visit to Jallianwala Bagh – The Jallianwala Bagh massacre, also known as the Amritsar massacre, took place on 13 April 1919 when a crowd of nonviolent protesters, along with Baishakhi, who had gathered in Jallianwala Bagh, Amritsar, Punjab, were fired upon by troops of the British Indian Army under the command of Colonel Reginald Dyer. Golden TempleIt is one of the most sacred pilgrimage spot for Sikhs. Sri Harmandir Sahib Ji, also Sri Darbar Sahib and informally referred to as the "Golden Temple", is the holiest Gurdwara of Sikhism, located in the city of Amritsar, Punjab, India. The dome of the Gurdwara is gilded with gold, popularizing it by the name of “The Golden Temple”.  Durgiana Temple – The Durgiana Temple, also known by other names of Lakshmi Narayan Temple, Durga Tirath and Sitla Mata Mandir, is a premier Hindu temple of Punjab, India. Afternoon drive to Wagah Border – Wagah is the only road boarder crossing between Pakistan and India between Amritsar and Lahore cities. The international border between India and Pakistan is located at a distance of 34 km from Amritsar. On arrival at Wagah Boarder watch the flag closing ceremony at Indo – Pak boarder. Later drive back to Amritsar and free for your own activities, Amritsar is also famous for delicious food, so you can test it by exploring local market of Amritsar and overnight at Amritsar hotel.

Day 07: Amritsar/Pathankot Departure Airport/Railway Station

After breakfast check out from Amritsar hotel and transfers to Amritsar Airport/Railway station or Pathankot Railway station to board the train for further journey back to home.
